SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Dice®, the leading career hub for technology and engineering professionals and a service of DHI Group, Inc. (NYSE: DHX), today announced a partnership with HackerEarth, the world's largest platform for skills assessments and hackathons, to become the exclusive U.S. reseller for customized talent assessment solutions. The partnership, which brings HackerEarth services to Dice customers and candidates, accelerates the technical hiring process, improving candidate quality for employers, and providing a way for candidates to gain a competitive edge during their career search journey.

The recruitment environment in the U.S. for employers with technology needs remains a challenge as demand and turnover soar at above average levels. Recruiters and hiring managers know that finding the right highly-skilled tech talent is a lengthy and arduous process. In November 2016, it took 27.4 working days to fill a position, according to the DHI-DFH Measure of National Mean Vacancy Duration, a proprietary report from DHI Group, Inc.; that lengthy amount of time suggests that, in a tight labor market, employers are competing hard to find and hire the right candidates.

Dice's partnership with HackerEarth works to resolve many of the unknowns involved with hiring tech talent. Dice customers can screen and qualify candidates across 32 different programming languages. For employers with less technical acumen, HackerEarth's pre-built library of 19,000 technical and non-technical questions simplifies the process of creating tests, generating efficiency for hiring managers and adding confidence in the recruiting process.

Additionally, Dice will resell 'hackathon' services, enabling employers with a simple solution to host their own in-person or virtual hackathons. Through HackerEarth's powerful management platform, employers can run hackathons to achieve a variety of outcomes including sparking innovation within a company, building viable products, expanding employment branding to new tech professionals and qualifying top tech talent for potential future hire.

"We are excited by this partnership and the value it will bring to Dice customers. We are thrilled to provide employers user-friendly skill assessments to enhance the screening process and help them hire the ideal candidate," said Bob Melk, President of Dice. "Dice's partnership with HackerEarth offers an added layer of assurance, empowering employers who leverage the services to feel confident they are making a more informed hiring decision. Additionally, the partnership strengthens Dice offerings for tech professionals providing them with an easy way to demonstrate their proficiency and move through the hiring process faster."

"Technical recruiting is a cumbersome process and HackerEarth has been working hard towards solving that problem. We believe that Dice's ability to bring our services to the U.S. market and to reach the technology industry's most influential employers and professionals is simply unmatched," said Sachin Gupta, CEO of HackerEarth. "We're confident that this partnership will speed up employers' hiring processes, and provide candidates with the tools and services needed to prove their technical aptitude."
