Aurora Cannabis - Kanada & die Legalisierung

Bei Aurora endet das 4. Quartal, also Ende Geschäftsjahr am 30.06.2019
Bis dahin soll ja das Minus abgebaut sein. Gonzo, wie schon gesagt keine Aktie wo man in zwei Wochen Gewinne machen kann.
Schöööön laufen lassen, erst nach unten und dann mit einem Ruck nach oben:)))

Wer das nicht aushält kann ja mit minus verkaufen und weiter ziehen.

Ich warte ab.....

Die meisten Anleger die jetzt in Aurora investiert sind sollten satt im plus sein.
Wer jetzt verkauft kriegt noch gutes Geld,
muss das von @Ahorncan angekündigte runter nicht mitmachen,
muss nicht auf den womöglich nicht stattfindenden Ruck nach oben warten ...

Bei guten Investitionen ist es meist so, dass es erst die Schmerzen gibt.. Dann das Geld ;-)

In den amiforen bashen die shorties sich um Kopf und Kragen... Auf jedenfall Fall gibt es genug Kanonen Futter

Nur dass es ab jetzt die shorties sind , die verbrannt werden ....

So kritisch wie ich Aurora und die anderen Cannabiswerte sehe,
so begeistert sind andere von diesen Werten.
So ist es immer am Aktienmarkt, wenn Aktien gehandelt sehen Käufer und Verkäufer den gehandelten Wert nicht mit den gleichen Augen.
Bis jetzt ließ sich mit den Cannabis Aktien gutes Geld machen.
Für mich sieht das sehr nach Blase aus.
Der Umsatz mit Cannabis steigt.
Die Aktienanzahl der Cannabis Werte steigt noch viel schneller.
Die Verluste sind hoch, die Bilanzen enthalten durch überteuerte Übernahmen hohe Goodwill Positionen.
Ich erwarte ein baldiges Ende der Blase.
Wohin sollen denn diese Werte noch steigen ??

Cost of Prod. down 26% $1.42...conf. call stated they are focused on <$1
SGA inc 1% ok
$345MM Conv note required acct. adj of ($101521) for qtr....which contrib to ($160,195) Net loss
NB YTD financials had a +$144,368 contrib related to disposal of invest.
Also ACB cont. to pay for tax on prescription cannabis which reflect ($3MM)
Production facilities- Sky, Sun, Polaris are all ramping up....and set up for producing Quality product for medical community...medical field is huge for cannabis
Earnings/share was ($0.16)...consensus was for ($0.03) disappt. yes but derivative invest write off didn't help

So all that said one has to keep in perspective their goals related to driving down costs and emphasis on Medical plus entry into US mkt.
IMO this company is only at $65MM revenue and only a fraction of this mkt.
This is start up company and has and will have expenses related to start ups....that will surprise on P&L statement going forward...
Est. company's have fewer abberations in my opinion...
This was a good conf. call and this company IMO is SOLID going forward...they have the right leadership to manage the challenges of this industry

Cannabisunternehmen betrachte ich wie jede andere Firma. Es wird was produziert und verkauft. Das Unternehmen beginnt mit Aufbau, Strukturen und Partner. Dafür werden Schulden aufgenommen. Irgendwann werden Gewinne gemacht und vielleicht auch eine Dividende gezahlt. Diese Chance hat man bei jedem Unternehmen.
Deshalb sehe ich hier keine Blase. Cannabis ist ja noch garnicht global legalisiert.
Das Produkt Cannabis wird ja nicht plötzlich verschwinden.
Wo ich dir Recht gebe ist, daß es viele kleine Zulieferer nicht überleben werden oder einige aufgekauft werden.
Wir müssen nur Geduld haben wie bei jeder anderen Firma ( Aktie) auch.

@Admiral, die Frage ob ich in den Tomatenanbauer Village Farms investiert bin kann ich leider nur verneinen. Die hatte ich nie auf dem Radar. Der Kurs ist ja super gelaufen.
Village hat sich in den letzten 3 Jahren verzehnfacht.
Mit 9 Millionen square feet Anbaufläche können die sicher den nordamerikanischen Markt mit Cannabis überfluten wenn die komplett von Tomaten auf Cannabis umstellen.
Werden sie wohl nicht tun.
Village Farms zeigt mit seiner Verzehnfacht, das alles was mit Cannabis in Verbindung gebracht wird Kurstechnisch in die Höhe schießt.
Es zeigt natürlich auch, das tatsächlich auch ein Tomatenanbauer locker Cannabis produzieren kann. Wahrscheinlich mit seiner Erfahrung sogar viel billiger als Aurora und alle die anderen.

Genau das zeigen Sie, dass jemand anbauen kann, der davon Ahnung hat. Ich bezweifle, dass jede Cannabisbude Ahnung hat. Da werden einige den Bach runtergehen, da die anvisierten Mengen niemals produziert werden können. Village ist ja immer noch niedrig bewertet, im Gegensatz zu den anderen Großen.
Wir warten mal ab, was das noch gibt. Eine Blase sehe ich nicht, nur Pumpbuden werden verschwinden.

Aurora earned $65.1 million in the March quarter, up 20% QoQ although slightly below analyst estimates of $67.5 million. Gross margins ticked upward to 56%, far ahead of larger peer Canopy Growth's (NYSE:CGC) 22% gross margins last quarter. Aurora lost $76 million in EBITDA (ex-FV) this quarter and had a free cash flow deficit of $151 million, with about two thirds of that deficit due to capital expenditures. Perhaps owing to this deficit, Aurora has filed to raise up to U$400 million through an equity offering.

In my view, this was a strong quarter for Aurora with good growth in both the Canadian recreational cannabis market (revenue up 37% QoQ) and the international medical market (revenue up 40% QoQ). Those two markets are likely to be two of the largest drivers for Aurora's growth next quarter and Aurora's robust performance will give investors confidence the company will continue to perform well in all its key markets.

That said, value investors will still find little to like here. Aurora trades at approximately 17x its 2020 sales, based on analyst estimates. This valuation implies that Aurora will need many more strong quarters and continued growth in the Canadian and international cannabis markets to justify its $13 billion price tag.

For my part, I see Aurora as a reasonable investment in the Canadian cannabis sector, although not one of my favorite investments. Next quarter, Aurora anticipates growing more than 25,000 kilograms and cannabis and anticipates earning its first adjusted EBITDA profit on the back of increasing revenue. Aurora also is expected to announce U.S. CBD plans and Nelson Peltz-fueled partnerships with global companies over the next several months.
