CompuGroup Medical has acquired a Dutch eHealth company, Euroned, to support the overall growth strategy of CompuGroup Medical (CGM). The acquisition of the Dutch vendor is the first move into the Netherlands for CGM and expands the presence to a total of now 15 European countries as well
as in Brazil, Chile, Malaysia, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and the US.
The target company is one of the leading vendors in the market for GP's and pharmacies, and has a modern and intelligent solution, MIRA, for these healthcare professionals. Euroned is located in the Southern part of The Netherlands with headquarters in Echt, where the 80 employees are based.
The Dutch healthcare market has been one of the frontrunners in the use of ICT-systems and Dutch healthcare was rated as the best in Europe in a survey from 2008.
Henrik Crüger, Senior Vice-President, CGM Northern Europe, states: "We have seen Euroned as an ideal target for our entry to the Dutch market. The company is well-run, has a state-of -the-art product combined with a dynamic group of employees. We are sure that the culture of Euroned and CGM will supplement each other and we believe in further growth of the Dutch business".
Euroned will enter into the Northern European division of CompuGroup Medical that today is the market leader in the primary care segment in Denmark, Norway and Sweden, combined with strong positions for laboratories and hospitals.
