GlobalArnold.com Exclusive:
Help Make ‘T3.5`!
In July 2003, the world was given one of the most anticipated sequels of all time - Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines . Fans the world over queued up to see it. The general feeling of the movie was that it was good - but not to the level of the first two films. To give it a rating, most people said that T3 was a reasonable 7.5 or 8, and although this is an excellent score, a ‘good` Terminator film is not what we wanted – we wanted an excellent, mind blowing Terminator film!
T3 had lots of potential to be the best of all three films and GlobalArnold.com, TheArnoldFans and Chad ‘The Storm` Campbell believes that it still can be...but with the fan`s support!
After T3 director, Jonathan Mostow, said that if he had another \$50 million dollars in the budget, he could have given the fans the ultimate film, Chad felt Mostow needed some immediate support! If tens of thousands of fans unite, we can show the film studio how serious we are and that we would pay big money to see the film again in the theatres with these additional scenes we all want and know should be in the film.
Chad has managed not to step on Jonathan`s shoes and will not interfere with his artistic vision. Other than changing John Connor`s age back to the correct one, and editing a couple of dates, we can all respect Mostow`s work. Don`t worry Jonathan , Chad only wants to insert a few additional scenes, which will include big action sequences and a couple of character development scenes. Best of all, there will be a wild final battle loaded with new action as well as a LOT of additional surprises.
On December 18th 2003 , Chad had the idea of a Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines: Special Edition , or as he nicknamed it ‘T3.5 `. He sat down and listened to all the fans complaints and criticisms, and watched the T3 DVD hundreds of times to study and examine it, to figure out how to make this the ultimate Terminator film.
The possibility of actually making this happen is not lost. TheArnoldFans have passed on Chad`s T3.5 script proposal to some of their great Hollywood inside sources. One high-powered Hollywood legend said that Chad `s script is " Phenomenal" and plans to take it to some " other Terminator people."
This is what Chad told TheArnoldFans:
" What I have decided to do with T3.5 is make an Extended Edition much like `The Lord of the Rings`, but what makes this project so unique, is the fact that we will go back and film an additional 40-50 minutes of footage. This footage would be re-inserted into the Theatrical Version of Terminator 3 without much change to the Theatrical Version. Of course the age/date mistakes will be changed. What will be added in this version? Well, I really don`t want to spoil any of it or show it to anyone because I don`t think WB wants everyone to know if this gets green lit. In my 44 page script, there is much description of the story filling in plot holes and making everything make sense. Best of all, we get to have two great new action sequences including one in the future and a great final battle at the end of the film.
Without a doubt, we need your help to make this happen, and you can do this by signing the Official T3.5 Petition. Getting it to the producers will not be a problem – getting them to take it seriously will. That`s why we need tens of thousands of names on it, with everybody showing their support. Fans from all over the world must unite for this one!
When TheArnoldFans created their King Conan Petition , it received well over 10,000 signatures, and before he became the Governor, Arnold told many people that he would do this movie. John Milius even said that it would happen. This proves that petitions DO work...as long as the fans are ready to act.
Sign the petition NOW so we can see the perfect T3 before T4 is put into production! Sign it HERE!
Many thanks to Randy and the rest of TAFs Staff and of course, Chad `The Storm` Campbell, who made this article possible.
