Wer ist Lyndall Grant ??? ;o)
The
GOVERNATOR
Lyndall Grant has been performing professionally as a tribute to Arnold
Schwarzenegger, since 1997, when he first worked for
Planet Hollywood.
Since that time, Grant has turned in an impressive list of corporate
employers. The U.S. Department of Justice also hired Grant to film a
special Law Enforcement training video.
Grant's previous work has been in skyscraper construction, where he
worked as an Union Ironworker specializing in crane & rigging until
1987. In 1988, Grant began working as an architectural designer until
2004.
Now that Arnold Schwarzenegger is Governor, Grant works almost
daily at speaking events (sometimes as a surprise guest), presenting at
award ceremonies,
and/or co-hosting with corporate presidents / CEO's.
For example, Grant recently spoke for The Los Angeles Times
newspaper group at their 42nd Annual
Gala Awards Ceremony hosted at the
Beverly Hills Wilshire in Los Angeles, CA.
Playing Arnold has been no problem for Grant, since he naturally looks
remarkably similar to Arnold.
And, Grant's German heritage and naturally deep voice make it an
easy vocal transition to imitate
Arnold's distinctive Austrian accent.
Grant, 50, says, he works non-stop around the U.S. and abroad: for
corporations, Hollywood Studios,
TV news and for non profit charities (such as The United Way).
"I never had a problem playing a Terminator of few words," says Grant.
"But now the job has changed enormously." Since nearly 95% of his
work playing Arnold has become public speaking, Grant says that he
has
become confident at the podium in crowds of thousands.
"It's always a thrill to be introduced as Arnold, walk out on stage and
deliver a scripted speech.
Many participants report they are taken in, or that they thought it really
was Arnold.
During Schwarzenegger's inauguration,
in Sacramento, Grant worked as an official correspondent for
FUJI TV of Japan. The following day, The Los Angeles Times reported
that Grant was the "crowd favorite."
Grant says some of his best TV footage comes from people that
convince themselves that he
really is Arnold. Grant's favorite video, a real tour of the Historic
California Governors mansion,
is case in point of how State staff convinced themselves that Grant
was the Governor Elect, coming to see his new house.
