Both the rental and retail markets for DVD´s changes rapidly and everybody agrees that Video on Demand – VoD is on the move throughout the world.
In Sweden the market hasn´t really taken form yet due to the high percentage of pirated downloads. More and more countries throughout Europe are dealing with this giant problem and are closing down pirate operations like Pirate Bay.
Recently HomeTV met an agreement with a media company listed on the European stock exchange to roll out the HomeTV platform with its content of films to six European countries. Another six countries stands in line. In addition to that HomeTV is negotiating with a large media company to implement the concept in India, The Middle East, China and Russia.
As of today HomeTV has signed deals with Warner Bros, Scanbox Entertainment, Pan Vision, Private Media Group and most recently Paramount Pictures/Dreamworks. Over 700 titles are available on the HomeTV platform and many more can easily be uploaded.
