Hospital Expands Use of VisualMED to Outpatient Department
VisualMED Ambulatory Care Goes Live at Southwest Regional Rehabilitation Center of Battle Creek, MI
MONTREAL-- August 21, 2007 -- VisualMED Clinical Solutions Corp. (OTC BB:VMCS.OB) announces today that Southwest Regional Rehabilitation Center of Battle Creek (SRRC) has successfully completed implementation of the VisualMED Ambulatory Care system. The purchase of ambulatory functionality was concluded in December of last year. SRRC had already successfully implemented the VisualMED Clinical Information System for inpatient care documentation two years ago. The new components support 100% paper-free documentation of physical, occupational and speech therapy activities performed in the outpatient setting. Continuity of care is assured through the seamless integration of inpatient and ambulatory documentation, and through facilitated communications with referring physicians in the surrounding community.
Rick Albaugh, Information Systems Manager at Southwest, commented, "Our hospital is pleased to continue its relationship with VisualMED by adopting the Ambulatory Clinical Information System for our Outpatient Rehabilitation services. It is our goal here at Southwest to serve our patients at the highest level. A paperless medical record will help us to provide more efficient and accurate patient care, helping us to achieve our goal." Gerard Dab, VisualMED Chairman, added, "We're especially proud of the fact that our new ambulatory care components have been implemented by an existing client. This expansion of activities represents a real vote of confidence in VisualMED."

About the company and its products
The VisualMED Clinical Information System (CIS) is a unique software application built to conform to the way doctors and nurses provide and document patient care. The VisualMED CIS is the only solution of its kind to have been wholly designed by practicing medical staff in terms of both workflow and user interface. State-of-the art design is at the basis of product scalability -- the only CIS that can be implemented across a single care unit, hospital, or region. Unique design features allow system decision support to conform to local practice, yet incorporate "best practice" guidelines across a region as a turnkey solution, depending on needs of individual clients. From a purely technical perspective, object-oriented design and table-driven programming allows for cost-effective development that can rapidly respond to advances in medicine and surgery and informatics, itself.
VisualMED Clinical Solutions Corp. markets and distributes clinical management solutions that help hospitals and healthcare authorities reduce medication errors, increase personnel efficiency and bring down operating costs. One of its key decision support components is a core solution in the new agenda to promote greater patient safety and reduce risks due to medication errors.
