Thank you for your email and your interest in and support of our tantalum and niobium project Commerce Resources.
I hope that by now you have received from us the very good drill news that we have just released.
We are very excited by this news for many reasons, most notably because these results support the hypothesis that the Upper Fir deposit extends to the south of where we have outlined it in the 20 holes we drilled in 2005 & 2006. Although of course we have to wait for the assays to come back confirming the mineralization – even thought the deposit has been very homogeneous – we are also excited that these new drill holes have added significant value to the project.
As well in regards your questions about the names of the funds that participated in the recent $32.7 million financing for Commerce, we have not released all of their names – although there is generally no reason that we haven’t, and there is certainly no reason why we cannot.
Just some of the funds who participated are: The Canada Pension Plan, AIG, AGF, London Life, Corriente Master Fund, Crestview Capital, Sprott Asset Management and just to let you know, the second tranche was championed by the head analyst for Cormark Securities (and this of course Sprott Securities before they sold the name, although all of the staff essentially stayed and now work under the name ‘Cormark’).
As well, we did receive participation >from the Doug Casey Group.
As well, just one of the possibilities that may be open to Commerce Resources is the acquisition of a current producer – or I should more correctly say “the identification of an acquisition”. But yes that is one opportunity that we are looking at.
As well, a very important test that is STILL CURRENTLY being worked on at SGS in Ontario is the acid leaching test for our concentrate. This is generally called a ‘hydro metallurgical test’ whereby we are seeking to confirm the test results from the exact same test that SGS did for us in 2004 which showed a lower consumption of acid for Commerce than the industry standard. We are very anxious to get these results when the tests are completed. BUT DO NOT WORRY –SGS is extremely busy and they are working on this test for us.
The data will be released I hope very shortly.
As well, we will keep you up to date on all news worthy aspects of the development of the worlds’ richest tantalum project, Commerce Resources and I look forward to answering any other questions that you may have.
As well, if you did not receive the analyst report from Fundamental Research (released last week) please let me know and I will send you a copy of it.
All the best,
Chris Grove
