THE FANTASTIC CORPORATION SUPPORTS FRAUENHOFER INSTITUTE WITH BROADBAND TECHNOLOGY
Hamburg, Stuttgart, Zug, July 14, 2000 - In early July the Information Center of Stuttgart's Frauenhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO opened a Business TV Competence Center. Supporting the Center at no charge is the Fantastic Corporation with innovative broadcast technology that has enabled the Institute to bring multimedia services to small and medium-size companies.
Established and sponsored by Baden-Würtemberg's Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Institute is an information and demonstration center for Internet-based solutions and systems designed specially for small and medium-size companies.
Among the numerous guests from business and government who attended the opening were guest speaker Dr. Walter Döring, Baden-Würtemberg's Minister for Economic Affairs, Frauenhofer Institute CEO Prof. Hans-Jörg Bullinger, and Dr. h.c. Michael Klett, Chairman of the Board of Klett AG.
The presentation made by Dr. Gunther Guzielski, CEO of The Fantastic Corporation (Germany), a partner in the Competence Center, was entitled 'Computer-based business TV: learning remotely'. Broadband's advantages to business communication are dramatic to say the least. For instance, employees can use the technology to obtain multi-media information about their own company or its business partners. Broadband multimedia applications are equally well suited to employee training and improving knowledge management.
