Florida issues Tuesday deadline 5pm

Al Gore's advisers are criticizing a decision inFlorida to maintain tomorrow's deadline for counties to certify their votes from last week's                   election. Gore election observer Warren Christopher calls it "arbitrary and unreasonable." Florida Secretary of State Katherine Harris announced this morning that she'll stick with a 5 p.m. Tuesday deadline for the certification. The decision does not affect the counting of overseas absentee ballots, which must becounted up until Nov. 17 so long as they are
postmarked Nov. 7.
