Historically search has retained the largest share of advertising revenues, but as the chart below shows, even though mobile's the youngest format, it had the largest percent revenue increase between 2010 and 2012. Digital advertising revenues had an increase of 14 percent in the first six months of 2012, growing from $14.9 billion in 2011 to $17 billion in Q2 2012. In spite of the rapid growth of digital and mobile advertising, it's search that's on top, accounting for 47 percent of total digital revenues with $4.1 billion in revenue.

Expect some great action this week! LOCM is on many many buy lists now. It is in a confirmed breakout. Recent heavy volume suggest a combination of massive short covering and big buyers are grabbing their shares for an anticipated major runup in LOCM price per share. I personally am happy to own tens of thousands of shares which were purchased on the backs of covering shortsellers who are heavily underwater and must continue to cover. More good news is coming, you can count on it. This is going to rocket past $3 on its way to $4 and $5.... and these are conservative estimates. LOCM powerplay in motion.

DIGITAL ADVERTISING – AUTOMOTIVE DIGITAL MARKETING: Led by mobile search, local digital advertising is likely to grow over 13 percent in 2012 and will soon make up 25 percent or more of the local ad market. The forecast, completed by BIA/Kelsey, pegs mobile search growth at an astounding 77.2 percent, followed by online video at 51.6 percent and social media growth at 26.3 percent.

"We continue to see a dramatic increase in spending on online media and it is fundamentally changing the media planning and buying process for advertisers," said Mark Fratrik, vice president and chief economist, BIA/Kelsey. "As businesses examine their advertising opportunities, the trend is moving toward building a coordinated ad plan across different platforms, with different messages across different media. With traditional media getting more than three-quarters of the total local media ad budget, coordination between traditional and online media is the best way to explore how to effectively optimize new media, such as social networks and online video, to increase the chance of achieving business goals."

The number of consumers planning a mobile purchase has nearly doubled

With the holiday season on the horizon, retailers are gearing up for the rush of gift shopping that accompanies the last few months of the year. A September 2012 survey of US online buyers, conducted by market consultancy the e-tailing group and ecommerce service provider MarketLive, found that ecommerce will continue to siphon business away from traditional brick-and-mortar retailers, with mobile playing a growing role in that evolution.

Mobile has emerged as a channel that provides shoppers with a new level of convenience in both researching and making purchases, and the trend shows no sign of abating in the near term. The survey found that the number of online purchasers who planned to buy a gift on a mobile device this holiday season almost doubled to 21%, up from 11% in 2011.

sind nur die halbe Wahrheit und vermutlich sogar noch weniger, weil sie das nicht legale bzw kriminelle nackte Shorten nicht enthalten, das durchaus noch einmal das Doppelte oder Dreifache dieser Zahlen ausmachen kann. Denn es ist logisch, dass niemand über ncht legales Vorgehen "reported".

Und ich gehe nicht davon aus, dass der von mir schon oft beschriebene Criminal Crime behind The Street Sweeper seine Naked-Shortselling-Positions schon complett gecovert hat.

BIA/Kelsey Forecasts U.S. Consumer Spending on Online Deals to Reach $3.6B in 2012

Twenty-six percent of local businesses say they are ‘very’ or ‘extremely’ likely to participate in an online deal in the next six months.

CHANTILLY, Va. (Sept. 17, 2012) – BIA/Kelsey, advisor to companies in the local media industry, forecasts U.S. consumer spending on online deals (including daily deals, instant deals and flash sales) to reach $3.6 billion in 2012, an increase of 86.9 percent over 2011. BIA/Kelsey projects 23 percent growth in deals spending in 2013, followed by mid-single-digit growth in later years. This translates into deals spending climbing to $5.5 billion in 2016.

“After astronomical growth in 2012, the online deals marketplace is showing signs of maturity,” said Peter Krasilovsky, vice president and program director, BIA/Kelsey. “There has been consolidation in the space, deal conversion rates may be suffering due to over-familiarity and the market may be near saturation. Still, market leaders continue to exhibit growth as market awareness and penetration spread.”

Going forward, BIA/Kelsey envisions online deals will become an anchor for a platform of non-advertising small-business services. These services include instant mobile deals, loyalty products, promotions, reputation management, transaction processing and ecommerce. While these services have already been introduced to the marketplace, they have not made a significant impact on overall deals revenues to date. Eventually, BIA/Kelsey expects they’ll become an anchor element in the broad local play.
